CLEO NOW WENDY

Cleo was saved just in the knick of time from the Apple Valley Animal Shelter. She was such a gentle and loving girl. She hit the jackpot when she found her forever home. She is so loved. We are so happy for you Cleo!

From her forever home:

Yesterday was 4 weeks since we brought Wendy home. She is doing very well. She now sleeps in her bed in our room every night. I believe her original orange bed was a comfort to her. She is extremely attached to my husband. She spends most of her weekdays in her bed in the office where my husband works. You can see in the picture where he sits or stands at his desk, sometimes paces, and Wendy is very comfortable in her bed with him. She loves her twice daily walks, and this morning was a real breakthrough, as she played with another dog! She’s getting comfortable w/the dirt trails near the house. She can sit, come, and lay down. We cannot be happier. Every day she trusts us a little more. Today my husband went to the farmers market & I stayed behind, and Wendy sat for a bit at the door & whimpered but I sat on the floor and pet her and told her it’s OK, he’ll be back. We have only left her alone for an hour so far. Perhaps in another month we’ll be able to leave her and she won’t fear abandonment. She’s very chatty & can tell time. She “woo woos” when she wants something - she’s very smart.
